Onkyo TX-NR708 problem?

I have had this receiver for since it came out and it has worked fine until today. I don't know why but when the power went out the HDMI ins stopped working. The only thing I can get from the HDMI is the setup menu for the receiver, and a blue screen from the receiver that means there is no signal. Like all of my expensive things, it is connected to a surge protector and my tv works fine and my cable box shows the time and I can change the channels so, that might rule out a blowout. I am pretty good at solving problems by myself, but this is really annoying. I was really hoping that I don't have to send it back and that means being without a receiver for two weeks or more. That seems like what I have to do unless I missed something.
