My tassimo bosch dosent work!?

I put the cleaning disk face down in the tassimo bosch machine then i try and close the lid it dosent freaking close, i wont want to absolutely smash it down or it will break why dosent it close? Ive put the cleaning disk face down onto the barcode like it said then i push it down and it dosent let me close it what the hell? can i have some answers please
