Do Wrist Tattoos Hurt?

I want to get my first tattoo, a barcode with numbers to spell a nickname I have. I want to get it in the same spot as this tattoo http://thetattoodesigner.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/wrist-tattoo-300x200.jpg, right underneath the hand. Would it hurt worse than other tattoos since there are blood viens? Advice?
